TSO to Perform for All Those Who "Give What They Can"

For immediate release: April 24, 2017

TUCSON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA TO PERFORM CONCERT FOR ALL DONORS WHO “GIVE WHAT THEY CAN”

Program Features Young Artist Competition winners, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7

(Tucson, AZ)─Each year at the end of the season the full Tucson Symphony Orchestra performs a celebratory concert called Bravo TSO! to say thank you to donors. This year, the Bravo TSO! concert will be open to all who “Give what they can.”

President and CEO Tom McKinney explained:  “We thought this would be a good opportunity to share some great music by the TSO with everyone in the community at a price they can afford since they are setting their own ticket price with their donation.”

Michael Hall will conduct Bravo TSO! on Thursday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tucson Music Hall. Now in his third season as Music Director of the Kennett Symphony, Michael Hall has been a frequent guest conductor with the TSO for the past decade. The program will feature selections from Dvořák, Saint-Saëns, a work composed by an alumnus of the nationally-recognized TSO Young Composers Project, and three Performance Award winners of the TSO Young Artist Competition. It will open with an “Audience Choice” Overture voted on by patrons and conclude with one of Beethoven’s most popular works, the Symphony No. 7.

Donations in any amount may be made at the Tucson Symphony Orchestra box office, 2175 N. Sixth Avenue or by phone at (520) 882-8585.  TSO Box Office hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise indicated. Donations may also be made at the Tucson Music Hall box office on the evening of the performance.
