TSO to Perform the 5th of Beethoven
The first program of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s 2015-16 MasterWorks Series will feature four of the most famous musical notes in history with the opening of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and the overture to one of the most popular operas ever, Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
Judy Collins to Perform Benefit with the TSO
Judy Collins will perform with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra one night only, Friday, April 22 at 8:00 p.m. at the Tucson Music Hall. Tickets for An Evening with Judy Collins and the TSO will go on sale Thursday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m.
TSO Receives $1.5 Million from 2 Donors
The Tucson Symphony Orchestra has received a $400,000 contribution from the Connie Hillman Family Foundation to establish a permanent, named fund within the TSO Endowment to support the Principal Trumpet chair in the Orchestra. This is the first endowed chair in the Orchestra’s 87 year history. The Foundation’s intent is for this major gift to be used as a challenge for others to endow chairs in the Tucson Symphony Orchestra.
