The Tucson Symphony Orchestra with support provided by the Marshall Foundation is launching TSO TEAMtix so middle and high school band, orchestra and choir students can attend performances this season for free. The Marshall Foundation will provide a ticket for the student and the TSO will match that with a ticket for a companion.

TSO Opens Season with Downtown Progressive Dinner
The Tucson Symphony Orchestra will open its new season on Friday, September 23 performing An American in Paris, George Gershwin’s celebration of life in the French capital. The TSO will have its own celebration in the exciting new world of downtown Tucson with a progressive dinner, “TSO’s Ride & Dine.” Sample cuisine from some of Tucson’s hottest downtown restaurants, ride the streetcar, enjoy a performance of music by Gershwin and Ravel and finish the evening at an invitation-only party with new Tucson Symphony Music Director José Luis Gomez.
Planets, Diamond, Home Alone, Romeros in new TSO season
José Luis Gomez will conduct his first concert as TSO Music Director Designate, when the 2016-17 Season opens with Classic Gershwin, featuring An American in Paris and Cuban Overture by George Gershwin. The program will also feature Van Cliburn medalist Joyce Yang, who is returning to the TSO for the first time since 2010 to perform Ravel’s Piano Concerto, getting the season off to a jazzy, upbeat start.
