The Tucson Symphony Orchestra will announce its first new Music Director in 20 years on Wednesday, February 17 at 4:00 p.m. in the Performance Hall at the Tucson Symphony Center, 2175 N. Sixth Ave. (just South of Grant Road across from Mansfield Park)
TSO Program Features Respighi's Fountains of Rome, Gomez and Roth
Concertmaster Lauren Roth will make her Classic Series debut performing one of the most popular violin concertos in the repertoire, Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1, on the Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s next program, Fountains of Life: Respighi and Strauss. José Luis Gomez will return to conduct the program, featuring Ottorino Respighi’s Fountains of Rome and Richard Strauss’ Death and Transfiguration. Performances are Friday, February 19 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tucson Music Hall. Concert Comments, one hour prior to performances, are complimentary with tickets.
The Tucson Symphony Orchestra and Hamilton Distillers are bringing a little luck of the Irish to the Old Pueblo on Tuesday, February 23 in a unique collaboration before The Chieftains perform with the TSO.
