TSO Family Series Gives Cinderella a Hilarious Wild West Twist

The Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s new Family Series will next feature Cindy Ellen: A Wild Western Cinderella, a hilarious retelling of Cinderella, Southwest style. Michael Hall will conduct two performances at 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at the Leo Rich Theater. There will be an instrument “petting zoo” on the plaza outside the theater from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. The “petting zoo” will be hosted by the Civic Orchestra of Tucson.

José Luis Gomez Named Tucson Symphony Music Director

Internationally acclaimed conductor José Luis Gomez has been named Music Director of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, it was announced today by TSO Board Chair Bonnie Kampa and  President and CEO Mark Blakeman. Gomez is the seventeenth Music Director in the TSO’s 87 year history.
