For immediate release: June 28, 2010 THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR SOUTHERN ARIZONA MAKES SUBSTANTIAL DONATION TO THE TUCSON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA(Tucson, AZ)—The Tucson Symphony Orchestra today announced that it has received a substantial contribution made by an anonymous donor through the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. In making the donation, Clint Mabie, President and CEO of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, stated: “For over 30 years the Foundation has helped individuals and families build and perpetuate their charitable legacy. Continuing in our efforts to build the capacity of vital non profit organizations, we are honored on behalf of our generous donors to make this gift to the Tucson Symphony Orchestra.” “It is through the generosity of donors and philanthropic organizations like the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona that the TSO is able to continue its mission of transforming lives through music,” commented Erwin Kratz, President of the TSO Board of Trustees. “We have made a lot of progress in the last year addressing the financial challenges faced by the TSO and this gift significantly reinforces that effort.
