The season’s ‘¡Fiesta!’ opens with lush Latin lyricism from the most famous of Spanish influenced composers and their most beautiful works: rhythmic tangos from Piazzola and Golijov, both from Argentina, Daugherty from the U.S. and Marquez from Mexico, finishing with Ravel’s enormously popular Bolero. A program of alluring and transforming, memorable melodies.
