The Tucson Symphony Orchestra plays over 60 concerts every season with over 30 different programs. Some use the full orchestra, some use a small one and some use a chamber ensemble, ten people or fewer. You can read about all of our different concert series to the right. Concert Series

The Classic series use the full orchestra, about 80 people and sometimes call for many extra musicians.

The MasterWorks series uses a smaller orchestra, about 40 people. This is the size of orchestra that Mozart used.

This series uses a big orchestra, like the Classic series, but instead of playing just classical music, we play a variety of popular music, Broadway hits, movie music, jazz, just about anything!

The Ensemble series feature the chamber ensembles playing chamber music, music originally meant to be played in a small room.

The Feasts combine two of my favorite things, food and music. They're called "Moveable Feasts" because after the first mini-concert and dinner, the audience moves to a different room for Dinner and the second concert.

For each one of our main series, the Tucson Symphony presents a Concert Special. Usually we have a world-famous guest artist come and perform with us for one night only. For our MasterWorks Special, the TSO and TSO Chorus perform a very special piece of music to celebrate the holiday season, Handel's Messiah.
